Breakfast Provisions

In your room you’ll find continental breakfast provisions which are topped up daily. Ingredients for these are listed below (with the main 14 allergens in bold) and where substitutions are made, we will let you know (with a note and verbally)

Bread – wheat flour, malted wheat flakes, malted barley flour, rye flour, water, olive oil, yeast, salt

Pastries – wheat flour, water, palm oil, sugar, ground almonds, flaked almonds, yeast, butter (milk), pasteurised egg, soya, pecan nuts,  not suitable for nut and sesame allergy sufferers

Granola – oat flakes, sugar, sunflower oil, freeze dried berries, pumpkin seeds, sliced almonds, sunflower seeds, honey

Crunchy Nut Cornflakes – maize, sugar, peanuts, barley malt extract, molasses, honey, salt

Muesli – wheat flakes, oat flakes, barley flakes, dried fruit, almonds, hazelnuts 

Flapjacks – oats, dried fruits, sugar, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, sunflower oil, coconut oil, butter (milk)

Orange Juice, Apple Juice, Jam (labelled), Semi Skimmed Milk, Butter (milk), Fruit, Berries, Tea/coffee

Cooked breakfasts

Cooked Breakfasts are available at weekends and are made to order, so please let us know if you have any allergies or would like to substitute anything. Allergens are highlighted in bold below

Full English Aga cooked breakfast – Sausages, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms (milk), sauté potatoes, beans and your choice of egg

Vegetarian Aga cooked breakfast- Vegetarian Sausages (soya) grilled halloumi (milk, wheat flour), tomatoes, mushrooms, sauté potatoes, beans and your choice of eggs

Vegan Aga cooked Breakfast- Vegan sausages (soya), avocado and bean mash, roasted tomatoes and mushrooms, sauté potatoes, baked beans

Shakshuka with Chorizo or Feta- Slow simmered tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, spices and gently poached eggs with spicy chorizo or crumbled feta (milk)

Seriously fluffy pancakes (wheat flour, milk, egg) with crispy bacon and Canadian maple syrup

Poached eggs with avocado on toast (wheat flour, butter (milk)

Scrambled eggs with crispy bacon on toast (wheat flour, eggs, butter (milk))

Cinnamon Brioche French toast with berry compote (wheat flour, milk, eggs)

Boiled eggs with sunshine yellow yolks and buttery soldiers (wheat flour, butter (milk))

Creamy Aga porridge with banana, honey, toasted nuts and seeds (oats, milk, mixed nuts, mixed seeds)

Platters,  picnics and fire pits

These options can be pre ordered if you fancy a cosy night in or an alfresco lunch. With 48hrs notice these can be amended to suit any dietary requirements

Ploughman’s Platter- Local pork pie (wheat flour), ham, cheeses (milk), hunk of home baked bread, (wheat flour) chutney

Gardener’s Platter (V)- Homemade vegetable quiche (egg, wheat flour, cream, cheese (milk)) cheeses (milk), hunk of home baked bread (wheat flour), leaf salad, chutney

Fisherman’s Platter- Homemade smoked mackerel pate (fish, milk), smoked salmon (fish), hunk of home baked bread (wheat flour), leaf salad, lemon, mayonnaise (egg)

Mediterranean Platter (V option available)- Hummus (sesame seed), crudités, olives, pitta (wheat flour), feta (milk), salami or falafels (sesame seed) (V)

Afternoon tea- Selection of finger sandwiches (wheat flour, butter, cheese (milk), salmon (fish) followed by homemade cake (wheat flour, butter (milk) eggs, and scones (wheat flour, butter (milk), eggs) with jam and cream (milk)!

Tasty Treats- Homemade brownies and delicious tiffin (wheat flour, eggs, milk)

Firepit pack- Local farmshop burgers, sausages, lamb koftas and chicken kebabs, brioche buns (wheat flour, egg, milk), homemade coleslaw (milk, egg) and BBQ sauce (barley malt vinegar), corn on the cob (butter (milk)), lettuce and tomato, marshmallows to toast!

Vegetarian or Vegan Firepit pack – Vegetarian burgers, sausages (soya) and vegetable kebabs, ciabatta buns (wheat flour) homemade coleslaw and BBQ sauce (barley malt vinegar), corn on the cob, lettuce and tomato, vegan marshmallows to toast!

Pizza station- Dough for 3 pizzas (wheat flour), homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella (milk), choice of meat (pepperoni and nduja) and/or veg/vegan toppings (roasted peppers and garlic mushrooms), as well as chocolate spread (milk, soya) and banana for a pizza pud! 

Slow cooked Chilli Supper with jacket potatoes- Farm shop beef cheek or vegetable slow cooked chilli with Aga jacket potatoes with tortilla chips, grated cheese (milk), sour cream (milk) and a homemade tomato an avocado salsa
